They say a country mile is worth the drive for some good home cooking. Located in the little town of Wausau, Florida is fine little family restaurant that serves some of the best traditional southern food south of I-10, and well worth that country mile. Right on Main Street (Highway 77), Moody's is a locally owned and operated family business that whips up classic southern dishes sure to perk up the taste buds.

Moody's, starts the day by offering an old-fashioned breakfast reminiscent of how grandma use to make. Biscuits and gravy, eggs, ham, bacon, and a mix of other 'vittles' along with the quintessential cup of coffee will get any diners day off to a good start.

Moving into the lunch hour, Moody's serves tasty friend chicken daily, in addition to an alternate pick of the day, such as meatloaf, pork chops, shrimp, hamburger & gravy, chicken & rice, are some of the many specials you may find on any given day. And what would be a main dish without the sides, also randomly selected for pair withe the daily special, may include collards, fried okra, squash casserole, cream corn, and other surprises seasoned just right. The locals will also can rest easy knowing that Moody's makes that "real" sweet tea, like at home.
